The Showcase of Music in Our Schools currently operates on Hawaiʻi Island, serving as a regional, non-competitive music festival that highlights the depth and diversity of school music programs. The Showcase brings together student ensembles across grade levels and disciplines for a public-facing performance experience that emphasizes participation, professional feedback, and community visibility rather than ranking or awards.
Our long-term goal is to replicate the Showcase model across each county, creating a network of county-based festivals on Hawaiʻi Island, Maui County, Oʻahu, and Kauaʻi. This distributed approach allows the program to remain accessible, culturally responsive, and logistically feasible while maintaining consistent quality and purpose statewide.
