The Aloha All-State Na Koa Ali’I Marching Band is excited to be selected to perform in the 100th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We’ve partnered with Bob Rogers Travel who will be arranging a wonderful tour opportunity for our musicians and their families.
There will be two packages offered. The students will be traveling to New York and staying at the Hilton Newark Airport. During their stay, they will experience many aspects of New York, including regional dining, shows, and tourist venues. The highlight, of course, will be the parade performance on National TV on Thanksgiving Day. Their package will include airfare between Hawaii and New York, accommodations, most meals, all activities, and their band fees.
The Family and Friends will have an opportunity to travel to New York as well. The travelers for this package will be staying at the Sheraton New York, just blocks away from Times Square and the theater district. Like the students, the Family and Friends will share the same “New York Experiences” in regards to meals, shows, and venues. There will be two packages offered – a full package that includes airfare from Hawaii, local ground transportation (subway and bus), local tour directors, most meals, and activities. For the Friends and fans that aren’t coming from Hawaii or prefer to secure their own airfare, a “land only” package will be provided with all the same inclusions as the full package less the airfare.
During the course of the New York visit, fans and band will cross paths many times, including: Tickets to the same Broadway show, tickets to the same Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Thanksgiving dinner, and at the Band’s performance at the USS Intrepid.
